Horse Show

Registration from 9.30-11.30am

Show starts at 12.30pm

• 12.40pm - Dog with the Waggiest Tail
• 1.00pm – Best Boy Dog (Genetically Born!)
• 1.20pm – Best Big Dog (Standard Labrador and larger)
• 1.40pm – “Child’s Best Friend” (Please note dogs must be walked by their child – 12 years & younger)
• 2.00pm – Best Rescue Dog (Please note you will be asked about your rescue dog at registration and this will be shared with the audience during the show)
• 2.20pm – Best Small Dog (Smaller than a standard Labrador)
• 2.40pm – Best Girl Dog (Genetically Born!)
• 3.00pm – Best “Old Timer” – (Any dog 8 years old and over)
• 3.20pm – “Puppy Love” (Any dog under a year old)
• 4.00pm – BEST IN SHOW
   

Entry Fee - £3.50 per entry (maximum 2 entries per dog) CASH ONLY!

Timings are approximate and can sometimes over run, but every effort will be made to keep to those shown above. Rosettes will be given to the top 3 in every round with the winner of each rouond receiving an exclusive Ashwell Show Doggie Bandana. The Best in Show will also receive a voucher from our sponsors “Pampered Pets”. Please note that the judge’s decision is final, but some rounds will require spectator participation to choose the winner, so come prepared to do some cheering! 

Registration:

When you register for the show you will be asked some simple questions (shown below). To prevent delays and speed up the registration process for everyone, especially the dogs, who really don’t like queuing, please do come prepared with your answers. Please note, we have increased the number of entrants per round this year to reduce disappointment, but sadly there are still limited spaces so please do register as soon as you arrive at the showground.

Questions:

• Your name/ name of the walker
• Your Dog’s name
• How old is your dog?
• What breed is your dog?
• An interesting/funny fact about your dog or something it has done that is of note.
• (If you are entering the “Best Rescue” category please be prepared to explain a little about the story of their rescue)
• Please note we are a family friendly country dog show, not “Crufts” and we welcome all well-behaved pooches (and owners!). We are really look forward to meeting you and all your gorgeous dogs at the show and thank you in advance for your co-operation.
