Here you will find everything you need to know about this
fabulous fun-filled family day out.

The show will be held on August Bank Holiday Monday 29 August 2011, 8.30am – 5pm

Equestrian rings start at 8.30am and continue all day.  Main ring events & attractions run from 12 noon.

Now in its 90th year, Ashwell show is one of the longest running country shows in the area and the largest in North Hertfordshire achieving up to 10,000 visitors on the single show day. No mean feat when you consider there are only 1,700 people in this picturesque North Hertfordshire Village of the Year 2010

Last year saw another great day enjoyed by all and the usual highlights including the horse events, dog shows, vintage cars and tractors, superb tradestands and the amazing Devil’s Horsemen Cossack Trick Riders. In addition, a number of new free attractions such as the craft exhibition tent and messy play activities for the little ones were introduced – visit the photo gallery to see some of the highlights.

This year is set to be even bigger and better than ever, with the introduction of an entertainment stage which will be headlined by professional singer Phil Hobbisand will showcase other local talent, including Hot Steps Dance Academy, Electralite Majorettes and Raqs Sharqi Bellydancers.

The craft tent with free messy play activity is being expanded to offer even more craft demonstrators plus a resident entertainer, balloon modeling and face painting! You can experience a piece of Roman history through the fantastic spectacle that is the Devil’s Horsemen Chariots, witness the amazing skills of the Chainsaw carver and enjoy the fabulous Falconry skills, amongst other things.
